Black Beauty | Brand Story

In 2005, a group of brewers in Gaotang, Shandong Province, were experimenting with a dark beer and found that when the malt roasting degree reached a certain critical point, the beer would present a rare obsidian luster - neither the turbidity of traditional porter beer nor the heaviness of stout, but with a hint of redwood-like clarity.

"This color is so special, like..." An engineer stared at the glass jar and pondered. "Like black silk reflecting the light." One brewer continued.
"Or a beauty with a black figure caught while running at night." The girl in the testing department suddenly said.
"Black Beauty." The chief brewer made the final decision.
Everyone laughed, but the name "Black Beauty" was set. It does not come from any legend, just because we believe: black is never the end of monotony, but the starting point of flavor.

——The Black Beauty logo? The elegant lady you see on our logo is the inspiration for the original "beauty with black figure while running at night". She holds not only beer in her hands, but also our insistence on quality for these years. The black circle represents our spirits of color, the red circle symbolizes the passion of the brewers.

And the two golden five-pointed stars represent:
Left star - the original intention of the founding year of 2005
Right star - the most powerful private brewery medal we won in Shandong beer competition
——The name "Black Beauty" was born - it doesn't need to be deliberately given meaning, because every sip is a celebration of chance and ingenuity.

Now, when someone asks "Why is it called Black Beauty", we will hand over a glass of beer:
"Look, this black has malt aroma, sweetness, and our stubbornness that has not changed in 20 years - whether it is beautiful or not, you have the final say."
